Rich’s lifetime experiences in various careers set him apart from most real estate agents in Park City. Thirty years of experience managing people, programs, budget, business development and contracts. Rich’s hands on experience in the Washington DC arena working Department of Defense and National Security Council issues at the executive level provided for a combined 13 years of experience in international negotiations and business development. A variety of assignments across the spectrum of Air Force missions culminated in a twenty-eight year career with leadership positions in command and on the Air Staff. He is a highly decorated combat veteran and fighter pilot and was awarded the Silver Star during a tour with the elite “Ravens” Forward Air Controllers’ in South East Asia. He is an experienced community planner heading the community relations for 8,800 military people and their families as the Deputy Base commander for Mountain Home AFB Idaho. Rich retired as a Colonel in 1997 as the Deputy Director of Plans for the Air Force and the Senior Planner for Joint and National Security Council Matters.
After retiring from the Air Force he was hired as The Director of Strategic Planning for the USAF. During this time he was one of the original founders of Alion Science and Technology one of the fastest growing employee owned defense contract companies in the DC area. Departing Alion Science and Technology as Vice President and Operations manager he moved to Park City to fulfill a dream.
