The Deer Valley summer concert season has begun! There are a variety of musical events that take place at Deer Valley's base area at Snowpark Lodge throughout the summer. Concerts are put on by a variety of organizations from Mountain Town Music to the Utah Syphony and Opera. My personal weekly favorite is the FREE concerts every Wednesday evening. Bring a picnic and a bottle of wine, sit on the grass and enjoy some great music with your friends. See you there!

November 13, 2009 - Deer Valley & Park City received a wonderful new layer of snow from yesterday's storm. There is another storm approaching and should bring us a bit more. Some of the Cottonwood resorts have begun to open. The season has begun!

Most people don't realize that recessions have a way of creating many new millionaires. Many investors simply bury their heads in the sand or go into damage control mode the moment they realize that the economy is declining. Savvy forward thinkers use a recession to their advantage by taking more calculated risks. Sure, all investors calculate their risks during times of economic stability in some way. In many ways a recession can make even the most calculated of risks seem far more "risky" than before.

For those of you who have been following the progress of the Montage Resort in the Empire Pass area of Deer Valley Resort we have some great new info to report. These guys really know how to put the gas pedal down on a construction project.
We were able to take a hard hat tour of the construction site this week. I can tell you that this property is going to be nothing short of spectacular. Although it is essentially concrete and framing at this point, it is immediately apparent that a tremendous amount of thought went into the orientation and design of the spaces as it relates to the views. You know it's something special when a muddy concrete stucture keeps you saying WOW no matter where you are in the building. Red Ledges had their grand opening events over this past 4th of July weekend. We arranged for a few of our clients to walk the course with Jack Nicklaus while he played some holes and explained some of the tactics for play and design process of the course. I had the pleasure of playing the course on the 4th. It is an incredibly beautiful and unique course that also proved to be very challenging.

July 4th weekend 2009. Red Ledges has announced the much anticipated Grand Opening of their Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. Join Jack Nicklaus and walk the course with him to hear about the design process and get tips on how to play this magnificent new course. This fun filled weekend will also offer wagon rides with the Red Ledges Clydesdale Horses as well as the first member mixer golf tournament.

Portico - Two Units Sold Recently

SOLD! We have recently sold / put under contract both of our Portico Townhome listings. Portico #11 sold about 2 months ago and we are scheduled to close on Portico #4 TODAY. Golf season off to a great start

The golf season at Park City area courses is off to a great start. The wet spring weather has really helped to green up the courses and provide some excellent conditions. The cool mornings and evenings and few early season crowds make this the perfect time to play.
The weather has been great and all golf courses are open and in great shape. The Mountain Course at Wasatch Mountain State Park has been in impeccable condition with the greens in the best shape I have seen them. Soldier Hollow recently punched and sanded the greens so you may want to give them another week or so to heal.
Red Ledges is scheduled to open the new Jack Nicklaus Signature course in mid-June. I have toured this amazing course and am very excited. This is undoubtedly going to be…
